I'm John
I'm a fisherman, bushman and conservationists. I've been a Police Office (recipient of two Distiguished Service Awards), Territorial Soldier, expert Mountain Search and Rescue volanteer, for 35 years a master real estate agent, licensed financial advisor (A.S.X.) and most recently, a part time farmer in New Zealand.
I bought my first boat when I was 13 years old, a plywood 'moth' class yacht migrating through more power and sail boats than I can remember.
Experiencing a significant medical event prior to the COVID lock down and a significant slow down in business since then I wanted to chase my dream.
I'm Sheryl
I am an Architecual Designer, and when I'm not hitch-hiked ocean passage chasing game fish, I have sat in front of the same drawing board all my working life.
I have lost of two husbands and was at a loose end when I met John.
we sail not go anywhere, but to sale, sailing for sailing sake, at the mercy of each breath of wind towards something yet undiscovered.
We were the perfect match for each other, committed to change, to living life roaming and exploring the wide expanses of a beautiful world before age and infirmity caught up with us.
I've been a big game fisher winning multiple tournaments. I'm new to sailing but cruising the ocean with my rod and reels, as a passage maker, navigator and ship keeper has been my long time friend.
We'd love you to join us, experience and discover a world we love.
My other passions are flying, we own our own plane, cooking, I leanred to cook in Thailand and love fusion food.
It was Sheryl's love of the sea, enthusiasm for flying and commitment to an alternative life style that lead our partnership that is 'Sail With Us'
